Christopher Munro is North America Associate Editor at The Insurer, and Editor of its MGA and fronting carrier subsidiary Program Manager.

He has covered the (re)insurance industry for over 15 years, and worked for titles including Insurance Day and Lloyd’s List while based in London.

He moved to the US in 2014, initially as the New York-based Americas Editor for Reactions, before joining Euromoney stablemate The Insurance Insider as Associate Editor in 2018.

In late 2019, he joined The Insurer as North America Associate Editor and moved to Los Angeles. He moved back to New York last year, still as North America Associate Editor for The Insurer, and was appointed Editor of Program Manager in early 2024.

He has covered a wide range of breaking news during his time in the industry, including the Deepwater Horizon disaster and the Costa Concordia casualty, along with the wildfires that have torn through California, and too many hurricanes to count.
