Jorge Pecci is a highly experienced professional in the marine industry with over 30 years of expertise. He began his career as a Deck Officer/Master aboard cargo vessels and gained diverse experience with several prominent shipping companies. In 1993, Jorge joined AIG, marking a pivotal moment in his career. Jorge’s tenure at AIG was marked by a series of leadership roles, including COO of AIG Global Marine, Global Marine EVP, Head of Growth Economies, Head of Specialty Lines for the Latin American Region, and Marine Practice Head for the Americas Region. In these multifaceted roles, he adeptly managed multiple offices and underwriters and assumed responsibility for marine operations across the Americas, Asia Pacific, Latin America, Middle East, Africa, and the CIS Countries. In 2016, Jorge joined Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers and became CEO of SafeWaters Underwriting Managers and Head of Ryan Specialty’s Marine Practice, where he played a pivotal role in the specialty marine business’s expansion in the United States and abroad. He also served as a Non-Executive Director/Member of Virtual I’s Advisory Board.

Currently, Jorge serves as Director of Marine Risk Engineering at NCB, where he continues to contribute his extensive knowledge and experience to the marine industry.
