Matthew Yeshin is Marsh Canada Limited’s National Practice Leader for Marine, Logistics and Transportation and North American resource for Cargo Liability and Shippers Interest solutions.
Experience
Specializing in insurance solutions for clients in transportation, logistics, and technology, Matthew joined Marsh in 1992 and has gained practical insurance experience both in the North American market, and while working at Marsh UK, a leading Lloyds broker in the United Kingdom.

As the supply chain responds to changes in customer expectations and buying habits, along with aggressive competition in a de-regulated transportation environment driven by technology, acquisitions, e-commerce, industry disruptors, nuclear verdicts and new approaches to providing logistics services, Matthew helps our teams build digital solutions that will integrate with current and emerging supply chain technology, and improve upon the delivery and execution of traditional insurance models.

By understanding the interests of all parties to the logistics process, and streamlining the method for the delivery of risk transfer solutions, Matthew believes it is possible to develop balanced risk management solutions in an environment where heavy-handed contractual transfers of risks are prevalent.

As part of Marsh’s global e-commerce initiative, Matthew has also been involved with the development of web-based insurance solutions designed to integrate with existing logistics and shipment management systems allowing clients to effectively select insurance solutions as both an added value offering or as a means to efficiently address a challenging contractual exposure.
