William has over 15 years’ experience in natural catastrophic risk assessment for the marine and energy insurance and reinsurance industries. William has a passion in numerical modeling and statistical analysis and, since joining MatthewsDaniel, he created a plethora of instrumental tools to lower costs in assisting marine and energy clients worldwide. In his current capacity, William is responsible for providing operational weather forecasts for marine operations as well as hindcast weather analysis for claim-event verification and investigation. In his spare time, William serves on the board of Houston Claims Association and as a planning committee member of the Houston Marine & Energy Insurance Conference. He is also a working group member of the Offshore Wind Technical Advisory Panel, a sub-committee of AWEA (American Wind Energy Association), whose primary function is to design and develop weather criteria for offshore wind turbine projects in North America.
